Selfie with the Quokkas: The Happiest Animals on the Planet

Rottnest Island is the home of the Quokka, the happiest animal on the planet!  And why not when he lives surrounded by the beautiful beaches where you can push bike ride to and enjoy a snorkel and swim.  Learn the history of the Island, have lunch in the township and of course take a Quokka selfie or ten. They smile for the camera!

Seals: Basking with the Sea Lions

The Sea lion tour starts with a short ferry ride to Penguin Island then the tour starts on a glass bottom boat for a scenic filled 45 min cruise through a wildlife sanctuary zone. Passing by the pelican rookery before Seal Island where you can see the Sea lions basking and frolicking in the water.

Penguin Cruise

Australia’s smallest penguins are on display in their natural habitat as we cruise by the rookery where they nest and breed before returning to the Island in time to see the penguin feeding.

Swimming and Snorkeling with the Dolphins

Get up close and personal with the bottle nose dolphins at the Koombana Bay! In the early mornings and later on in the afternoon, the dolphins come to the foreshore where you can stand in the water and watch them play and show off their calves. During the months of November to April there will be dolphin swim. During the months of May to October the dolphin swim will be replaced by the dolphin cruise where the dolphins swim up close the boat and say hello. After the swim, you can explore the Dolphin Discovery Centre.

Hand Feeding the Kangaroos

Meet Australia’s most well known animal, the kangaroo. This zoo has over 60 varieties of birds and marsupials and there’s plenty of photo opportunities where you can enjoy the surrounds while hand feeding kangaroos and parrots.

Tingle Trees: Tree Top Walk

Take a Tree Top Walk amongst the towering giants and enjoy the view across the canopy of an ancient forest of red and yellow Tingle trees.
